The Publish Your Biz Story

Publish Your Biz may be new, but our mission to bring marketing value to our clients spans over 20 years.
We started designing websites for small business owners in the early 2000s. We saw value in helping businesses create an innovative presence on the internet. We knew we could do even more to utilize this new industry and to help our clients make full use of this marketing opportunity.
In 2005, we partnered with 3 Peaks Pro to become one of the first website design and computer networking companies in the Kansas City area. We focused on creating brand-focused websites for all industries. Some of these included plumbers, artisans, builders, retail outlets, and technology professionals.
Many of these companies never had an online presence before. The internet was still uncharted territory, and most websites online were cluttered at best and dysfunctional at worst. We used our collective experience in visual communications, tech support, and design, and applied it in new, exciting ways.
As we worked with these businesses, we developed a process to identify each company’s values, mission, goals, and needs. We then worked as a team to use all the tools at our disposal to meet those needs.
We grew, and over time our focus shifted. We started thinking of marketing and branding in a much more holistic way. We saw print and social media as a natural outgrowth of online development. About the time we began this transition, we rebranded and created Danae’s Designs. We were able to create new branding or completely overhaul old, tired branding.
Danae’s Designs enabled us to create a consistent brand presence across all of our clients’ marketing streams. Every client, whether a charitable organization or a retail corporation, had a branding style guide that was created specifically for them.
Danae’s Designs flourished for over 12 years, when the industry changed again. As we watched, the online landscape changed, and not all for the better. DIY website platforms have become more affordable and intuitive. And now, automation and especially AI have taken the internet by storm. We then saw the inevitable pitfalls and problems associated with these exciting but potentially problematic tools.
Websites became more standardized, which added to their ease of use but did little to encourage true individuality. Whatever message the company wanted to project was often lost in the pursuit of convenience. Logos were smashed into corners, elaborate banners were tossed in favor of minimalistic titles, and tiny, sterile navigation. Almost every website you come across looks just like the last one. When that happens, the effectiveness of your branding is greatly diminished.
We knew it was time for a different approach. We needed to find a way to reach those who were left behind by the new online landscape.
Publish Your Biz is our answer to the modern marketing dilemma. Instead of fighting against big online website platforms and AI, we have learned to utilize them in effective ways that add to your brand’s power instead of sapping it. We’ve created the perfect union of traditional design, print marketing materials, and personal technical support, with all the innovative online tools now available. You don’t need a boxy wizard or a hollow AI assistant who struggles to understand what you need anymore. We are here to help you enter the brave new world of interpersonal marketing.
